It’s exhausting being a baby scientist.

Yesterday I took Amélie to the Visual Development Unit at University College London. They do really interesting research into baby brain development. Amélie took part in a study being done by a visiting researcher from Japan who is looking at how the brain develops its spacial ability. She had pads attached to her head which monitored her brain activity whilst she watched different patterns of moving dots on a computer screen.

They also did a basic eye test on her to check how her eyes were focussing and this indicated that she has great eyesight.
