We are back from a great two weeks at the beach in Belgium with Oma and Opa. Lots of pictures follow below the line.

We kept ourselves busy in all sorts of ways…and in all weathers!

Of course last years favourites featured again:

But there were also new forms of entertainement like
marbles

and building lego houses (built in cameras)

and making bead necklaces with Oma

and stickers

and building sandcastles with moats that get destroyed when the tide comes in

and writing our name in the sand

but perhaps best of all the new things we did was the cycling

We enjoyed local traditions like:
the annual St Bernard dog parade

and the bands

and the very Belgian tradition of buying and selling paper flowers on the beach (with shells) which Amélie really got the hang of

and cycling around on strange contraptions which surely just exists on the Belgian coast?

Finally lets not forget the ‘ladybugs’ who came with us everywhere

What an exhausting summer! I’m tired just from looking at the pictures.
It looks perfectly wonderful to me! That’s what summer should be all about – a new adventure every day! QAnd the photo of Amelie staring hard at the St. Bernard pup made me laugh out loud.
