The midwife came to check Amélie today and was very happy with her progress.

She now weighs 3.5kgs. She lost only 50grams after she was born so is growing well. The jaundice she had at first has cleared and her belly button stump has fallen off. She has had her ‘heel prick’ or Guthrie test. When she was in hospital she also had a hearing test which she passed for both sides. She is feeding very well, roughly every three hours, and sleeping lots so we can’t complain. When she is awake, a little more every day, she likes to look at her book of bright patterns and her Whoozit mirror. She has had two baths at home, both very traumatic.
