Beach holiday highlights

We are back from a sunny couple of weeks at the Belgian coast with Oma, Opa and Uncle Stefan. Hasn’t Amélie grown since last year!

Lots of photos below the line…

There was cycling along the boardwalk- a step up from last year’s three wheeler!

The little cars were of course also tried out again:

As were the boats:

Sandcastles were built:

A busy flower shop had to be looked after- with Oma making the best flowers on the beach!

Amelie loved the view and keeping an eye on boats and the colour of the lifeguard’s flag

and the annual St Bernard dog parade:

Many books were read:

A major highlight was going on an amphibious boat- Amelie started off a bit scared of a boat that could drive on the sand but was soon ready to venture out with Opa!

Uncle Stefan made improvements to the lego train set:

We returned to Ypres and the Tyne Cot cemetery at Paschendaele (where the number 9 was rediscovered):

Looks like you had a lovely time, as usual! (And I am very envious of your super-elegant maternity swimming costume…)

You do look BEAUTIFUL! And indeed, Amelie has grown! Wait til the little one arrives, she’ll seem huge! HOpe all is well!

I don’t know if this works but if it does….I love the pics and just thought you should add a tag to mention how much Francesca had ALSO grown since last year! xx Zoe

Lovely holidays – its nice to go back year after year and see how Amelie changes and can now do so many new things with Opa, Oma and Uncle Stephan.
